Projects
I can't share most of my professional work, but here are some things I've built for fun:
- AI Canteen Menu
The official Siemens canteen website is a pain to use, so I built my own. It pulls the daily menu for all German Siemens canteens, loads faster and looks nicer. The fun part: every dish gets an AI-generated photo. You can pick from numerous styles, ranging from realistic to anime. - Summertime Festival
A local open-air music festival in Wolfenbüttel where I built a lot of my early hands-on experience. Projects include a food and drinks ordering system for our car-concert during covid, many iterations of the festival website, an app to collaboratively find and book artists and maintaining the IT infrastructure for many years. I also served as treasurer of the festival's non-profit for several years. - Low-Power People Counter
For a university project, I decided to build a low-power people counter device, which can be used to monitor the occupancy of an area. The data is submitted via LoRaWAN using The Things Network, visualized in a Grafana dashboard and processed with a custom backend. The firmware for the STM32WLE5JC is utilizing Zephyr (which is awesome). The project was challenging and fun because the hardware design, firmware and PCB manufacturing had to be done in a tight timeframe of two weeks. - Mosaik
A volunteer-run culture venue and nightclub being built in Wolfenbüttel, for which I built the website and server infrastructure. Right now we're working on a robust onsite IT and network setup with a great team, which is an exciting task for this kind of location.
